520 _aAUREA, NERISSA G., INDUCTA, DONHNEL C. AND LAMOC, JERICO C., Development of Electronic Learning System for Preparatory for Smartphones with Android Operating System. A Project Design. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University-Rosario, Rosario, Cavite. April 2014. Thesis adviser: Christopher G. Estonilo. The development of electronic learning system was conducted from July 2013 up to January 2014. In this period of time, the developers came up with its general objective which is to develop a Mobile Learning System for Preparatory Level. The study specifically aimed to: 1. plan for an application where student in preparatory level can learn and play at the same time: 2. analyze what are the problems encountered by the develop a teachers in teaching their students and how the system would help them: mobile application with the use of Eclipse (Juno); and 4. evaluate the application if it somehow give solutions to the problems that the developers noticed and helps the pupil for the preparation as they enter into the formal education. The study required a complete computer set with a specification of AMD E)-1200 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics Central Processing Unit (CPU) with a speed of 1.40 gigahertz, 2 gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), 500 gigabytes hard disk and Window Operating System with a version of 7-Starter. The application is expected to run in a smart phone with at least android version 32 Gingerbread of operating system, 250MB of RAM and 190MB of internal memory. The development of the study was based on the phases of iterative model. Iterative model does not attempt to start with a full specification of requirements. Instead, development begins by specifying and implementing just part of the software, which can then be reviewed in order to identify further requirements. This process is then repeated, producing a new version of the software for cache cycle of the model. In iterative, the first development is said to be a rough product or product piece in one iteration, then review deploy it and improve it in the next iteration as the process go back to the first phase and so on until it's finished This model consists of the following phases with different process, First, planning or requirements phase wherein the developers identified the specific requirements and specifications of the system. Next is the design phase wherein the developers started in coding and designing of the system. Third is the implementation and testing of the system wherein the developers tried if the system is working accordingly and efficiently. Last is review/analysis of the system where the developers look for another improvement as the process returns back to the design phase and so on until the system is finished. The researchers conducted an evaluation to the possible users of the system. It was conducted at Cavite State University-Rosario Campus and outside the campus with participants of one hundred and twenty (120) IT students, thirty (30) education students thirty (30) parents and twenty (20) teachers with a total of 200 participants.
