520 _aPACUMIO, JOE CHRISTIAN G., SONIO, JONEL U.,and SORIANO, JUDE LOVEN B. Development of an Multi-process Cutting Table. Undergraduate Project Design. Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Major in Welding and Fabrication Technology. Cavite State University Rosario Campus, Rosario, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Mr. Jose P. Lisama. Technical critic: Pascua, Lauro B. The study was conducted from June 2015 to April 2016 at Cavite State University Rosario Campus in Welding and Fabrication Building to develop and evaluate a multi-process cutting table.Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design the Multi-process Cutting Table. 2) construct the Multi-process Cutting Table from supply and materials available in the local market 3) Evaluate the acceptability of cutting table in relation to oxygen-acetylene and plasma cutting process; and 4) conduct a cost analysis for the Multi-process Cutting Table. The prototype was constructed with different parts which include the cutting table frame, plasma table top, oxy-acetylene table top, shafting, adjustable metal placer, drawer bin and funnel type trash bin. The overall dimension of the multi-process cutting table is 78cm x 78cm x 75cm. The cutting table was evaluated with the use of the plasma cutting process and the oxy-acetylene processes. Using mild steel plate with size of 80mm x 150mm, thickness of 10mm. The speed of cutting; straightness and smoothness of cut were observed. The speed of cut varied according to the skill of the operators who operated the machine. After the cutting process, materials used on the evaluation were inspected and evaluated under the two categories: smoothness; and straightness of cut. The results of the evaluation were based from the standard assessment guide to check the quality of cut. Price:14,006.00
