The study entitled as “Development of Power Window with Remote Control System” was conducted at Automotive Technology Department of Cavite State University -Rosario Campus. The design, fabrication and evaluation of the prototype started last June 2015 and being conducted until March 2016. The objectives of the study are to: design a power window with remote control, construct the device using locally available materials, evaluate the performance of the device in terms of effectiveness, distance of transmitting signal to open and close the window, speed of opening and closing the window, compare the speed of operation of manual switch and remote control power window, and conduct cost analysis for the power window with remote control. The power window with remote control system was designed with antenna, power window motor, power window, radio frequency transmitter, radio frequency receiver, remote control, capacitor, diode, lithium battery, receiver, relay, and silicon control rectifier. It was designed and constructed for the improvement of the manually operated power window. The raw materials has cost of PHP.6,430 while the labor cost reached PHP.1,200.The total initial cost has a total of Php.10,640. The remote control power window performed effectively than interfaced or connected with a manually switched power window. Its performance was evaluated with different ranges of distance - 1 meter, 2 meters, 3 meters with varying speed of operation in the upward mode and downward mode. | ||
