520 _aIBIAZ MICHAEL ANGELO R., REYES JOSHUA EARVIN L. and TATEL EUBERT RENZ., Development and Evaluation of Table for Automatic Gas Cutting Machine with Pipe Rotator. Undergraduate Project Design. Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Major in Welding and Fabrication Technology, Cavite State University, Rosario Campus, Rosario Cavite. March 2016. Adviser: Mr. Jose P. Lisama. Technical critic: Mr. Lauro B. Pascua. The study was conducted from July 2015 to March 2016 to develop and evaluate a Table for Automatic Gas Cutting Machine with Pipe Rotator. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design the Table for Automatic Gas Cutting Machine with Pipe Rotator.2) construct a functional Table for Automatic Gas Cutting Machine with Pipe Rotator using available materials in the market.3) evaluate the duration of cut according to size of pipe of the Table for Automatic Gas Cutting Machine with Pipe Rotator.; and 4) conduct a cost analysis for the Table for Automatic Gas Cutting Machine with Pipe Rotator. The Table for Automatic Gas cutting Machine with Pipe Rotator was constructed with angle bar as the main frame, a schedule#15 G.I sheet to construct the funnel and the drawer type bin, round bar for the adjustable metal placer and the shafting of the pipe rotator, flat bar for the adjustable metal placer top, and a gear motor with the power rating of 220v as the source of energy. The table was assembled together using E6013 welding electrode to support and withstand the weight of the metals that was placed in the table. The total initial cost was PHP 27, 493.00. Testing and evaluation was conducted in 3 trials different sizes of pipe ranging from 3”, 4.5”, 6.5” in diameter with the same thickness of 8mm. The consistency of the process and it speed was measured with the use of a digital stopwatch. Data collected were analyzed with the use of one way-ANOVA through Microsoft excel 2013. With the use of manual cutting process it was found out that the bigger the diameter, the longer of the time it consumed and the kind of cut was rough. Using the developed project, the cut was smooth and could cut small to big diameter of pipe faster and more accurately because it consumes shorter period of time rather than using manual process.
