The study entitled as “Development of Analog Tester for Turbocharger and Blow-off Valve" was conducted at Automotive Technology Department of Cavite State University-CCAT Campus. The design, fabrication and evaluation of the prototype started last April 2017 and being conducted until May 2018. The objective of the study was to develop and evaluate the Analog Tester for Turbocharger and Blow-off Valve. Specifically, the study aimed to; 1) design an Analog Tester for Turbocharger and Blow-off Valve, 2) construct an Analog Tester for Turbocharger and Blow-off Valve as to its lay-out, specification and principles of operation out of locally available materials,3) evaluate the performance of the Analog Tester for Turbocharger and Blow-off Valve in terms of: a) rotational test of the turbocharger which is evaluated in different air pressure and measures the rpm. b) oil leak test of the turbocharger which is evaluated in air pressure. c) operation of different waste gate of the turbocharger which is evaluated in what air pressure does a waste gate works. d) operation of blow off valve which is evaluated in different air pressure and test the blow off valve if work or not. 4) compute for the fixed and variable cost of the project. The analog tester for turbocharger and blow-off valve was designed with a centrifugal blower, analog pressure gauge, service hose, metal frame, analog boost gauge and waste gate. It was designed and constructed for testing the turbocharger and blow-off valve. The total cost was PHP 18,782.00. | ||
