The study was conducted on May 2018 to assess the drone capability for surveillance. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design and construct the autonomous drone patrol for the surveillance and security of Cavite State University - CCAT campus; 2) evaluate the technical performance the device and monitoring using manual control and voice commands; 3) assess the methodological design; and 4) conduct cost analysis. The Drone is used as a means of surveillance to monitor certain area remotely. It is controlled through a joystick controller or through voice command. The conventional control or manual using the joystick shows that it has a 100 percent accuracy on the controls. The voice command has also a 100 percent accuracy but depending on the environment setting it will be use. It has a night vision camera installed and it can be view real time. It has also a DVR that can record the viewed video on the Goggles. The maximum radio transmission range between the controller and the drone is 450 m. The results of the statistical analysis of data shows that the drone is effective for monitoring however the user should take a proper training before flying to avoid adversity. | ||
