The study entitled, "The Effects of Young Corn Cob as an Alternative Feed in the Growth of Chicken" was conducted at Cavite State University- Rosario Campus, Rosario, Cavite Generally, this study attempted to use young corn cob as an alternative for chicken feed Specifically, the study aimed to answer the following questions (1) Is there a significant effect on the weight of chicken when the different treatments are applied (2) Which is the best treatment?

Generally, the study aimed to know if young con cob can be used as an alternative for chicken feed Specifically, this study sought to (1) Determine if there is a significant effect on the weight of the chicken when the different treatments are applied. (C) Determine which is the best treatment The alternative hypothesis of this study is. There is a significant effect of using young corn cob as an alternative chicken feed, and the null hypothesis of this study is There is no significant effect of using young corn cob as an alternative chicken feed

This study is important because it developed new chicken feed which made chicken heavier and larger and it also help the people who have backyard poultry in their houses Besides utilizing an independent material, it will also help in alleviating the problem of a garbage disposal The study is limited to produce new chicken feed using young com cob In this study, the whole young corn cob was used to produce an alternative chicken feed. This study was conducted during school year 2008 2009 at Cavite State University-Rosario Campus, Rosario, Cavite

The null hypothesis is accepted, there is no significant effect of using young corn cob as an alternative chicken feed. Based on the result, the higher the concentration of the young corn cob as mixed with the commercial chicken feed the greater the effect in the weight of the chicken Based on the result of this experimental research, the researchers recommend the following (1) used the young corn cob as an additive in the commercial chicken feed (2) For those who have backyard poultry and can't afford to buy the commercial chicken feed they can use the young corn cob as an alternative feed (3) Conduct the study during warm months. (4) Choose an appropriate location for the place of the study.
