The study was intended to 1.) design a system that is capable of imparting the history of Cavite; 2.) evaluate the system using a software evaluation instrument; and 3.) implement the system in windows desktop computer.
The methodology that the developers used was the iterative model where planning, requirements, analysis and design, testing and deployment are working simultaneously to produce the system Throw Back in Time. The system was evaluated by 100 participants composed of seventy (70) high school students, two (2) araling panlipunan teachers, twenty seven (27) 1.T. students and one (1) 1.T. teacher. The criteria used in the evaluation are as follows: accuracy, consistency; correctness; reliability; information in the program; user-interaction; and technical aspects. The result of the software evaluation shows that the application is can be an aid to incorporate the history of Cavite to the students.
The average in accuracy is 4.45; the average in consistency is 4.46; the average in correctness is 4.49; the average in reliability is 4.40; the average in the information in the program is 4.44; the average in user interaction is 4.46; the average in technical aspects is 4.38. Website is a helpful medium of communication with regards to connecting people who are far away from their places. It helps communicate individuals who have lost their connection to the university and helps to easily trace the current status and location of the alumni. The researchers intended to develop an academic advising system that helps the university to advise each student according to their problems on their academic subjects.
The study aimed to: 1.) design the web pages of academic advising system of Cavite State University-Rosario; 2.) test and evaluate the website of academic advising system of CvSU-Rosario through online, and 3.) deploy and implement the website of academic advising system of CvSU-Rosario through online.
A methodology called interactive model was used in developing the system. This involves the phases of planning, analyzing and designing. The phases interact continuously to produced prototypes for testing and implementation with the use of the internet. The criteria used for the evaluation of the system are: accuracy, consistency, correctness; reliability, information in the program; user interaction; and technical aspects of the software materials.
A total number of one hundred four (104) participants evaluated the system. One hundred (100) of which were students of Cavite State University-Rosario, one (1) was from the faculty teachers of Cavite State University-Rosario, two (2) of which were IT specialists and one (1) was a parent of one individual student. Results showed that the system is a useful tool to aid the students and registration advisers with the appropriate subjects to be taken for a specific semester.
The development of a Computerized Academic Advising System for Cavite State University-Rosario Campus was successfully evaluated and the participants give a overall Excellent rating. This means that the system contains exact/ true information, interpretation, reliability, and security.
