Development of Grinding Wheel Balancing and Tapping Device. Undergraduate Project Design Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. Cavite State University Rosario Campus, Rosario, Cavite. May 2016.Adviser: Mr. Rodel B. Lubong. Technical critic: Mr. William P. Luseco. The study was conducted from July 2015 to April 2016 to develop and evaluate grinding wheel balancing and tapping device. Specifically, the study aimed to:1) design grinding wheel balancing and tapping device;2) construct a grinding wheel balancing and tapping device with locally available materials in the market, 3) evaluate the functionality of the prototype and 4) conduct cost analysis of the project. Grinding wheel balancing and tapping device was developed to determine if the grinding wheel was balanced, if it has cracked inside or if it was not solid. The study was limited only for balancing surface and small bench grinder. It has pin and screw that holds the shaft used for tapping and balancing the grinding wheel. The device can also prevent breaking of grinding wheel. The develop device can balance the wheel easy and faster as compared to just tapping. The total cost of the project was PHP 9309.00. ER -
