Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design and construct the project using sensors, microcontroller, motors and other materials needed and construct the hardware interface of the trash sweeping robot; 2) test and evaluate the response of the device on line following, obstacle detection, bin monitoring, sweeping and transferring of trash into the bin, walking speed, sending of SMS notification, capacity of loading and unloading function; and 3) conduct cost analysis of the project. The trash sweeper robot is Arduino-based. Arduino IDE was used to check, simulate and upload the program to the microcontroller. Battery module, sensors, power regulators and charging system were used as input device. The GSM chip enables the system to send SMS notification. The motor drivers/ drivers, actuator arm mechanism were used as an output. The LED’s are used has indicator to know if the bin is full, battery low on power and obstacle detected and a line module were used to track the line that serves its pathway. Evaluation was done to test the performance of the system. Random sampling was the method used to identify the participants. A total of thirty (30) participants evaluated the system. In order to get the overall rating of the system, the researchers used the weighted mean. The system got an overall mean of 4.51 which indicates excellent. The developed trash sweeping robot was effective, as it was able to do its purpose ER -
