Variable Regulated Power Supply with Battery Back-up for 220 VAC. Design Project. Department of Engineering. Cavite State University-CCAT Campus, Rosario, Cavite. June 20 I 8. Adviser: Engr. Harvey T. Crisostomo. Technical Critic: Ms. Janice D. Marquez. The study was conducted from August 2017 to April 2018 at Cavite State University- CCAT Campus to develop a single phase power supply with battery back-up for 220 V AC using power converters. Specifically, this study aimed to (1) design and construct a variable regulated power supply with back-up battery for 220 V AC (2) evaluate the device in terms of (a) output voltages of single phase power supply, (b) charging and discharging time of the battery, (c) output voltages during power interruption of the inverter (220V) and charging port; and (3) conduct a cost analysis. The prototype was consists of a single phase power supply which is able to provide power for residential and non- industrial businesses, It has a built in battery which will serve as an alternative supply during power intem1ptions and a port for charging mobile phones. The outputs of the device will be digitally displayed through LCD. Testing and evaluation was conducted in 72hrs. The device was evaluated by comparing the measured output voltages through a multi tester and the generated outputs of the system through the digital voltmeter of the device. The evaluation for the charging and discharging time of the battery was performed three times and during each trial, the time it takes for the battery to be fully charged and fully discharged was taken and tabulated.
