-ABSTRACT
This technical feasibility study aimed to design, construct., test and revise an AM Radio Receiver's Trainer as answer to the foremost problem of inadequate training equipment.
Specifically, this study attempted to:
1.Design an AM Radio Receiver's Trainer_
2.Construct the trainer using locally-available materials.
3.Test and try-out to determine its effectiveness and weaknesses; and
4.Revise and remedy its detects, if there are any.
This technical feasibility study is proposed to be used in the Electronics Technology course to train and develop the students in isolating 10 common troubles in an AM radio receiver. The students can use this trainer for laboratory exercises, troubleshooting activities and develop their skills in performing the different competencies such as signal tracing, base, emitter, collector, base collector, base-emitter, collector-emitter voltage measurement.; IFT alignment procedure and tracking procedure. It is powered and operated only from 4V-8V DC. This study shows the development of the project is technically feasible and human skills/proficiency is present, and it is made out of locally available materials. The estimated cost is Php 2,154.44.
