AMORES, HERMOGENES T., ARMINTIA, SHARMANE T. AND DRIO, REYMAR G. DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNET CAFÉ TIME MONITORING AND SALES SYSTEM. A Project Design. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University-Rosario, Rosario, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Rossian V. Perea.
The study was conducted from July 2013 to January 2014in different computer shops specifically the shop of PodCom nearby Cavite State University- Rosario Campus, Rosario Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1. plan the system through identifying the nature and scope of the existing process of payment and recording of collections opportunity or problem. 2. analyze the opportunities and problems in the existing process to build a new reliable system for the betterment of the business, 3, design the system with self-explanatory interface that will satisfy all documented requirements through identifying all necessary inputs, outputs and processes; 4. test and evaluate the system through giving well-functioning and documented information system to the possible users of new system; and 5. implement the system that will meet the expectations and needs of the system users.
The study was done through the use of object-oriented computer programming language which is the Visual Basic.NET as the tool used for the design and interface of the system as well as for the construction of module and coding. Microsoft Office Access as the database of the system and Microsoft Office Word for the study documentation. Adobe Photoshop was also used for the improvement of the interfaces of the system.
System Development Life Cycle was the method used because it is easier to manage for its repeatable and predictable process intended to improve the project productivity and system quality as well as to enhance the management of computer systems. It includes planning, analysis, design, evaluation and implementation phase. The developers tested and checked the system not only for errors but also to see if the system does what it was intended, for if it is what the end user has expected. The developers also ensured that all requirements were implemented and the errors or bugs were removed.
The participants of the study were composed of one hundred fourteen (114) shop owners and eighty-six (86) shop clients from different Computer shop in Tanza, Cavite. The system was rated based on the presentation during the evaluation.
