This study entitled DC cordless soldering iron specifically, the project aims to: (1) design a DC cordless soldering iron (2) construct a DC cordless soldering iron as to lay-out specification and principles of operation. (3) evaluate the performance of DC cordless soldering iron in terms of charging and discharging time of the prototype, pre-heat time of melting different types of solder and solder joint output comparison between conventional soldering iron and dc cordless soldering iron. (4) conduct cost analysis for the DC cordless soldering iron. The study was conducted at Cavite State University-Rosario from August 2016 to April 2017.
DC cordless soldering iron was developed to help electronics and electrical practitioners who focus more on electrical and electronics based activities even in outdoor. The methodologies used in constructing the device were cutting, etching, drilling, and soldering.
