The study was conducted from July 2015 to April 2017 to develop a Grinder Cut off Saw with Cooling System. Specifically, the project aimed to: 1.design a Grinder Cut off Saw with Cooling System 2. construct a Grinder Cut off Saw with Cooling System 3. evaluate the performance of the Grinder Cut off Saw with Cooling System in terms of a. speed of cutting with and without cooling system b. the temperature of cooling system 4. compute for the fixed and variable cost of the project.
Grinder Cut off Saw with Cooling System was developed to cut different sizes of ferous metals, cut off saw machine was provided with coolant to prevent the dullness of the blade immediately after many usage. It has a motor pump and water tank and the source of water to flow inside the flexible hose directly to the blade and work piece.The developed device can cut 1 mm to 51 mm size of ferrous metals. It cutferrous metal faster and conveniently without overheating the blade and the work piece. The coolant protect the blade from dullness. The total cost of the project was PHP. 40,249.14
