The study entitled “Development of Pressurized Brake Bleeder Pump” was conducted at the Automotive Technology Department of the Cavite State University-CCAT Campus. The design, fabrication, and evaluation of the prototype started last April 2017 and conducted until May 2018. The objective of the study was to develop and evaluate the Pressurized Brake Bleeder Pump. Specifically, the study aimed to; 1) design a Pressurized Brake Bleeder Pump,2) construct a Pressurized Brake Bleeder Pump as to its lay-out, specification and principles of operation out of locally available materials, 3)determine the ideal working pressure of developed prototype; 4) compare the time difference in bleeding process between conventional and pressurized bleeder pump; compare the conventional way of bleeding in terms of elapsed time; 5.Measure the amount of fluid needed to recondition a whole brake system (owner type jeep for instructional purpose); and 6. conduct cost analysis for the fabrication of Pressurized Brake Bleeder Pump (for Bleeding Brakes).
The pressurized brake bleeder pump was designed with a pressurized tank, analog pressure gauge, service hose, gate valve, mechanical pump and master cap. It was designed and constructed for reconditioning the brake system and maintenance purposes.
The total initial cost building the project was PHP 3,838.00.
