An undergraduate thesis manuscript submitted to the faculty Department of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University Rosario, Cavite in partial fulfillment of the requirements for graduation with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. Prepared under the Supervision of Mrs. Raiza D. Borreo. Tourist Guide Robot is a supplementary tool capable of communicating effectively with the incoming students and visitors, endorsing the University services, courses and facilities while being toured. The design uses 7 digital frame which was incorporated with graphical/pictures and video presentation for the target inquirer to be able to gain information about the University. Using the line tracking technology, the design moves along the lines of track that serves as a guide for the tour. It is battery operated and cannot resist much heat and rain. The design uses the timer which is programmed to stop for a while in every department. Wheels are used to the design for it can move easily while tracking the lines of its routing direction. However, if the design reaches its target direction, it will narrate generous amount of information about the University. Based from the result gathered in the summary of the series of testing and evaluation, the design was rated excellent by the Institution evaluators (comprised with administrative staff, department heads, advisers and students) using the ISO 9126 model criteria. Improvements were also made from the comments and suggestions given by adviser, colleagues, and evaluators. The design was successfully constructed and tested meeting the required specifications; and it performed well and garnered the highest rating in the evaluation.
