This volume is the study of the life and labors of Rizal. It places Rizal in the context of history among his contemporaries, both heroes and villains. By placing Rizal in the historical context it largely explains the way's of his life. Also answering the why's of Rizal is a philosphical inquiry which explains his acts. A third approach of a sociological nature, places Rizal in the society of his century which explains the "how" questions on his life.
