Cosmetology is a general term that refers to professional careers in the field of personal beauty and grooming such as hair styling, skincare, makeup application and nail treatment. it is a profession that can include a number of different hair care, skin care, and nail care services. The field includes a wide range of body pampering and beauty treatments for men, women, and children. People who perform these jobs must usually be licensed, and generally undergo specialized training at specialized schools or institutes. They work in many different settings some people work out of their homes or small shops, while others are on staff with upscale salons or spas. Cosmetologists are responsible for ensuring makeup application, hair styling or nails are exactly what the client desires. A beauty parlor is an establishment dealing with cosmetic treatments for men and women. Other variations of this type of business include hair salons and spas. |
