<a href="Orticio, Sammer P., Mangampo, Gener R., Applied Research IV (General Science Curriculum) Laboratory Science, Cavite State University Rosario Campus 2008. "Effects of Different Brands of Poultry Feeds on the Growth of Chicken".

Adviser: Mrs. Caridad S. Merced

The study entitled "Effects of Different Brands of Poultry Feeds on the Growth of Chicken" was conducted at Cavite State University - Rosario Campus. Generally, this study sought to find out the effects of different poultry feeds on chicken. Specifically, this study aims to 1.) determine the effects of different brands of poultry feeds on chickens, 2.) determine the best brand of poultry feed to produce high class breed of chicken, 3.) if there is a significant difference in the effects of poultry feeds in the growth of chicken.

Materials are gathered, chicks were bought to a licensed pet store to secure the quality of the chicks. Bulbs and sockets were set up inside the cage. Plastic feeding box and drinking bottles were also placed in the cage. The next day, the chicks were placed in the cage. Poultry feeds and water with Vetracin (soluble vitamins in water) was also prepared.

Every week, the researchers measured the weight gained by the chicks. Results were recorded in the tabular from and analyzed. Based on the computed data, by statistical computation, it was proven that they have a significant effect on the growth of chickens.

Fifteen straight-run- one day old chicks were assigned randomly to five treatments in CRD. T₁ Commercial Mash with soluble vitamins in water, T2- Purina with soluble vitamins in water, T3 Sagupaan with soluble vitamins in water, T4-Thunder Bird with soluble vitamins in water, Ts - BioOne with soluble vitamins in water.

In T₂, only two chickens were left and together their mean were computed to found out which of them have highest value. Although, one of the chickens under the same treatment died (for some reason) it was still included in the analysis. T₁ was next with a mean of 0.77kg. With not so large differences of the mean, T3 0.68kg, T₁ with 0.67kg was considered as the third and lowest mean respectively. Overall, T₂ had the highest computed mean of 0.98kg.
">Orticio, Sammer P., Mangampo, Gener R., Applied Research IV (General Science Curriculum) Laboratory Science, Cavite State University Rosario Campus 2008.
