The study was conducted from July 2016 to April 2017 to develop and evaluate of the adjustable V- block, specifically, the project aimed to: 1. design a Adjustable V-block 2. Construct a more functional metal equipment 3. Evaluate 4. Compute for the cost analysis of the project.

The study was conducted at Cavite State University-Rosario Campus from December 2016 to April 2017 to develop and evaluate an adjustable V-block. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) construct an adjustable V-block with clamp;2) compare the adjustable V-block using bench vise 3) evaluate the adjustable V-block efficiency using 40mm diameter to 200mm. diameter holding adjustable V-block; and the efficiency of adjustable V-block in compliance with the standard acceptable criteria in holding work piece.4) conduct cost analysis for the adjustable V-block.

The adjustable V-block was designed with 5 main parts, the holding round bar that will hold the work piece, the guide ways into the adjustment and holding work piece, and the body that where the holding round bar is placed.

Testing and evaluation was conducted in 1 day. The adjustable V-block were measured and compared. Data collected were analyzed to determine the adjustable V. block efficiency. Performance efficiency of the adjustable V-block was assessed in terms of hold of V-block.
The most efficient way to holding a work piece is the cutting, drilling and sundering work piece.

The more hardened the work piece the more difficult to holding for safety usage the hold don't move a work piece. The developed device can hold a minimum 40mm and the maximum can be hold is 200mm of round bar.

The total cost of the project is PHP.4,601.00.
